The article explores the process of consumer socialization, associated with the acquisition of knowledge and skills to function in economic reality. The text presents three main approaches and representative theories explaining the process of consumer socialization: cognitive, social and cultural. The article examines characteristics of each approach, the type of proposed explanations, indicated conditions of socialization, and strengths and weaknesses of theoretical concepts proposed in each of them.
